A loft bed is a bed whose lying surface is far above the ground. At the bunk bed the space under the loft bed is used for a second sleeping place. The two beds are either directly superimposed or they are at right angles to each other. They are structurally connected. Especially with scarce living space are bunk beds advantageous. The practical beds require the same footprint as the single bed, but allow two people in the same room to sleep without having to give up their own sleeping place. Bunk beds are often used in the nursery. They must be tested for safety and offer depending on the age additionally play possibilities.
